Bisley unveil ‘Workflow’ – the world’s first filing cabinet water fountain at Clerkenwell Design Week

Press Release: Bisley will be present at Clerkenwell Design Week 24th to 26th May 2016 for the first time, in an exciting partnership with Acrylicize, the multidisciplinary creative studio, fusing Art and Design to explore identity.

This unique collaboration will combine a great heritage brand, with the creative and intelligent thinking that typifies Acrylicize, to produce a truly stunning piece of Public Art that will present Bisley in an unexpected form.

The starting point for the design was the iconic Bisley Multidrawer. Acrylicize wanted to play on the idea of how Multidrawers are used is constantly evolving; this design classic is no longer confined to the office and can be found in any room of the home storing everything from art tools to make-up. The other consideration to the design was where the installation is going to be displayed; St Johns Square in Clerkenwell. In a typically playful way Acrylicize have added a twist to the idea of a traditional Public Art installation. Workflow is a collection of Bisley drawers turned into a fully functioning illuminated public water fountain, illustrating the Multidrawers multi-function in one of the most extreme forms possible. The logistics and technical detailing of the design has been a collaboration between Bisley, Acrylicize and The Fountain Company.

Bisley continues to enjoy international success and growth, across both commercial and consumer markets, being part of Clerkenwell Design Week is a logical step as the festival rises in global recognition.

Helen Owen, Director of Business Development at Bisley comments:
“We are incredibly excited about this collaboration with Acrylicize and the opportunity to do something unexpected and different. The Bisley brand is hugely respected and well known in the marketplace and it will be wonderful to show another side to our character!”

James Burke, Creative Director of Acrylicize says:
“Bisley is a much loved brand with a great heritage and presents us with many facets to explore for an original and unique piece of public art. We look forward to unveiling its debut at Clerkenwell Design Week.”

Workflow will be displayed in St Johns Square from 24th to 26th May 2016 during Clerkenwell Design Week.
